Albert Pujols had his 696th career home run, and it happened to tie the match in favor of the St. Louis Cardinals.

In the second half of the 2022 season, St. Louis Cardinals player Albert Pujols was one of the most talked about players. This is his last year in MLB before retiring, and he is close to becoming the fourth player in history to score more than 700 home points in his career. As of the night of September 10, 2022, Pujols is now four years away from hitting the 700 club.

The Cardinals were trailing the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-1 at the top of the sixth inning, and manager Oliver Marmol Pujols called on to be the hitter. That decision paid off in a big way, as Pujols ran onto the field to tie the match, earning a career number 696.

Since the All-Star break, the Pujols have averaged 343 hits, .400 on percentage basis, .737 slowdown, 11 home runs, 26 RBI and 34 hits.

In the season, the Pujols cut 0.26/.339/.520 while scoring 17 home runs, 46 RBIs, and 66 hits in 89 games.

There are 22 games left on the St. Louis schedule, and Pujols only need four more home runs to make history.
