Professional wrestler engraved in Netflix Cobra Kai season 5

Cobra Kai Season 5 has officially dropped on Netflix On Friday, the wrestling fans had a surprise in the sixth episode. Luke Hawkes, who has been primarily wrestling with NWA alongside his son PJ, appeared in the sixth episode titled “Ouroboros”. He took to Facebook over the weekend to celebrate the occasion, and commented on how the role was a reunion with actor Martin Kove.

My first movie that I had the chance to co-star in was shot with Martin Cove. It was “The Dead Sleep Easy” and we shot in Guadalajara, Mexico. Directed by Lee DeMarper and starring Vampero. That was in 2006. Fast forward to 2022, I never would have imagined that I would have a chance to work with Martin again. This world is savage Hawkes Books.

Hawx has appeared in a number of films and shows, usually doing stunts or participating in action scenes. His acting credits include appearing in the professional wrestling drama Starz heels Filmed by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in two episodes of the final season of Young Rock.

Cobra Kai has had an amazing relationship with pro wrestling lately. Martin Cove has appeared on AEW TV several times and his interactions with Dr. Brett Baker have indicated that not only is she a student of Cobra Kai, but John Kress (Cove’s villainous character) is her go-to. Baker was on the red carpet for the season 5 premiere last week.

Fans also noted that Stingray (Paul Walter Hauser) was seen rocking an AEW entrance theme for Chris Jericho’s “Judas” by Fozzy during the show. Hauser is a huge wrestling fan and has snuck into wrestling cues in his acting roles in the past.

Speaking of AEW, the company is currently building its annual Grand Slam event at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York on September 21. Here is what the card looks like now:

  • AEW World Championship: Chris Jericho / Brian Danielson vs Jon Moxley / Sami Guevara
  • AEW World Tag Team Championship: Deviate in our glory against the acclaimed
