Despite the ongoing silence regarding the end of Nintendo, it is still reported that the Japanese video game publisher is planning to hold its next live broadcast in the coming days. Since the beginning of September, rumors and reports have been circulating that Nintendo will have a new Direct sometime during the month. And while it looks like those plans may be put on hold due to new developments last weekend, it looks like the live September 2022 will happen in just a couple of days.
Based on new information obtained from reporter Jeff Group, Nintendo plans to air its next live stream sometime in the first half of this week. Previously, Grubb stated that Direct would happen in this window, but it continued Say That Nintendo was considering changing that schedule in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II’s death last week. As such, Nintendo has opted not to announce Direct in recent days, causing confusion and concern from a number of fans. Despite this, Grubb claimed that the new show should run on time, even if it was announced somewhat late.
“At this point, I’m sick of talking about it, and I’m sure everyone is sick of hearing it, we just want them to announce it. When are they going to do that? Looks like early next week,” Grob said during a recent livestream (transcribed by VGC). “They usually hold Directs on Thursdays, but [this week] Thursday is in the heart of the Tokyo Game Show, so they have to do it early. It could happen on a Tuesday, which is weird.”
Grubb went on to stress that since Nintendo hasn’t officially announced this Direct, fans shouldn’t get too excited just yet. However, if this happens to Nintendo Direct, more information regarding Zelda and Metroid franchises is expected to emerge. Specifically, a modified version of the original has been reported Metroid Prime It will be announced along with the potential ports of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Wicker And the The Legend of Zelda: Princess of Twilight to switch.
