Yo Yo Hakusho showing love for the best anime announcer ever

awesome one Yo Yo Hakusho The cosplay went really deep and showed some love for one of the best anime announcers ever, Koto! Yoshihiro Togashi’s original manga series is now celebrating the 30th anniversary of the anime adaptation, and has drawn fans a look back at some of the anime’s biggest and brightest moments. It is often highly regarded as one of the best action anime series ever, and fans after all these years are still finding examples of why. Most of it usually comes from a game-changing Dark Tournament arc.

The Dark Tournament arc really opened Yu Yu Hakusho to a whole new world of characters each with their own compelling narratives, and at the heart of it all was broadcaster Koto. Although she landed a commentary position in the second half of the tournament, her spirit and focus really made her stand out among all the other announcers we’ve seen in the anime over the years since. It’s now taken to a whole new level thanks to some awesome costumes from artist @chameleahn_ on TikTok! Check it out below:

We may actually see a live version of Koto one day, as Netflix, TOHO, and ROBOT are currently working on a new reality mod for Yo Yo Hakusho. Scheduled to launch worldwide sometime next year, and worldwide release scheduled for December 2023, Netflix begins describing the new Yo Yo Hakusho string like this:

The manga revolves around Yusuke Uramichi, a middle school student who spends his days in a fight and dies in an accident while trying to protect a young child. As he grapples with the fact that he is looking at his corpse, a woman named Bhutan, who calls herself a guide to the spirit world, relays to him the shocking truth: No one expected a delinquent like Yusuke to die performing an act of goodness, and he had no place in Heaven or Hell.”

The synopsis continues, “Thus, Yusuke is given a chance to revive him, and after passing his trial, he becomes a detective in the underworld. From there, Yusuke is entangled in a mystery surrounding human, demonic, and spiritual realms. Yusuke’s adventure will now become a live-action series on Netflix.” But what do you hope to see from the series’ debut? Let us know all your thoughts on this topic in the comments!
