Klein Forest High School student expelled, charged with felony after making bomb threat on campus, district says!

Klein, TX (KTRK) – Klein Forest High School was evacuated Thursday morning after a student allegedly threatened the school with a bomb.

The Klein Independent School District said the student was detained and charged with a felony. The county said the DA’s office has reportedly accepted the charges.

The student was also said to have been expelled in an emergency in accordance with the district’s student code of conduct.

The authorities said that the safety of all students and staff was reported after the evacuation took place.

The district said families wishing to take their students can report to the driving circle near the baseball field in Klein Forest.

Students who would normally take the bus home were put on buses to take them home. Klein told ISD that the remaining students in the school outside the building are still under staff supervision.

The district said all classes and after-school activities for Thursday have been canceled and any materials left at school can be taken back on Friday morning.

Klein ISD said students will return to school Friday at the normal time and will report directly to the classroom only in the third shift.

Klein Police ISD and other agencies did a full search and found no explosives on campus.

The district confirmed that it will have an additional police presence on campus throughout the rest of the week out of extreme caution.
