Alliance Presents “United We Are Dinner”

The alliance will host an international celebration of food and culture highlighting Houston’s diversity, while highlighting the important work the organization is doing to help refugees and disadvantaged members of the community. Local restaurants will provide food samples to give attendees the opportunity to physically transport themselves to countries and regions. During the event, attendees will also have the opportunity to see live performances by the best artists representing different cultures from all over the world. 6 pm

Arte Publico Press presents a showcase of Latin performing arts

Arte Público Press celebrates 40 years of promoting literacy and reading through publishing excellence. In honor of the 40th anniversary, the nonprofit will host a show of Latin artists. This show will be a collaborative effort bringing together prominent artists from opera, symphony, ballet, and other performance groups to highlight the vibrant influence of Latin American and Latino cultures. 6:30 pm

NPR Politics Podcast Live

After a two-year hiatus, the NPR Politics Podcast is back on stage, featuring a cast of your favorite NPR voices: Ashley Lopez, Asma Khaled, Domenico Montanaro, Susan Davis, and Tamara Keith.
