Next Gran Turismo A film directed by Neil Blomkamp cast a look at Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom in a pivotal role. The Gran Turismo series is quite unknown with a lot of stories, it’s much more about visual fidelity, incredibly realistic and fantastic driving, tremendous attention to detail, etc. There aren’t any iconic characters besides cars in the series, so when word of the Gran Turismo movie spread, many started wondering what that would look like. With famed sci-fi director Neil Blomkamp behind the camera, the movie immediately has a kind of credibility because it’s not exactly a paid director.
The film crew also suggests that there is something more to Froome than cool cars. Earlier this week, it was reported Weird things Star David Harbor has been cast as a retired driver who teaches the film’s teenage hero how to drive. Now, the film is adding another A-lister with Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom. According to the Hollywood ReporterBloom plays a “hungry marketing executive” trying to sell motorsports, but he also has a weak spot for it as an art form as well. As of now, it’s not clear if he’s an antagonist of some sort or if he’ll be alongside the film’s protagonist. The Gran Turismo The film is currently scheduled to begin shooting in Europe next week.
The Gran Turismo The film will follow a teenage fan and gamer of Gran Turismo games as he translates his virtual driving skills into real life to win a series of competitions and become a real racing car driver. The movie seems to be inspired by the true story of Jann Mardenborough who went through exactly the same thing. As of now, the movie is slated to release next summer.
