Modern Warfare 2 open beta time, dates and latest preload on PS4 and PS5 | Games | entertainment

If you’re a fan of Call of Duty and have a PlayStation 4 or PS5, you’ll be glad to hear that Modern Warfare 2’s open beta is almost here. At the time of writing, the Modern Warfare 2 beta is only available to PS4 and PS5 pre-order customers. But fortunately, the Call of Duty beta will open to all PlayStation owners on September 18. Sadly, UK fans will have to wait until later in the day to launch the Modern Warfare 2 open beta, which releases in the UK at 6pm UK time. time.

It’s annoying that the Modern Warfare 2 beta isn’t available for preload, unless you’ve already pre-ordered it.

The Call of Duty multiplayer component weighs around 25GB, so it won’t take long to download – unless your internet is really slow.

Once you install the game and start playing, you will be able to enjoy a selection of game modes, including Team Deathmatch and Domination, as well as Prisoner Rescue and Knockout.

Infinity Ward may add new game modes or replace existing ones as the beta progresses.

As for maps, players can currently check out Breenbergh Hotel, Farm 18, and Mercado Las Almas. The Valderas Museum may also return, having been replaced by the Hotel Breenbergh.

As part of the upcoming game, Infinity Ward has also revamped the Gunsmith feature, allowing players to customize weapons like never before.

During the demo, players can use the following weapons: M4, M16, Lachmann-556, FSS Hurricane, Lachmann Sub, Lachmann-762, FTAC Recon, LM-S, RAPP H and 556 Icarus.

If you can’t participate in this week’s Call of Duty beta, a second beta weekend will begin on September 22nd.

PlayStation users will have full access to the second beta, regardless of pre-order status. The second weekend also opens things up on PC and Xbox.

To make trial weekends even more special, players can unlock a range of rewards by simply participating.

Activision explains more: “No matter when or how you get to Open Beta1, get ready: You can win the largest collection of free Beta rewards ever in Call of Duty history!

“A total of ten different bonus items – including two weapon schemes and a client skin – can be earned during one or both weekends. These can be equipped in the trial once unlocked, and are only available to unlock during the trial itself. Don’t miss out!

These special Beta rewards are only available if you earn them during the Open Beta, then become available when Modern Warfare II launches on October 28.
