Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Concept Art reveals a strange deleted variant

Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madness He has his fair share of characters. The live-action Illuminati prequel features characters like Captain Carter (Hayley Atwell) and Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), while variants of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) appear. As it turns out, there were a lot of variables involved that were eliminated during the film’s development phase.

This week, Marvel concept artist Darrell J. Warner shared concept art for a character called Marvelous Melvyn, a carnival version of an eponymous wizard who came from a different world. As explained in the Instagram post, the character was portrayed by Scott Derrickson in the movie before he left the project.

“I am honored to be among these sacred companies and to make progress in Watercolor to be one of the finalists for ‘Live Action Feature Character’ at this year’s Concept Art Association Awards,” Warner wrote in his post. ‘Marvelous Melvyn’ was a piece I completed very early in the first shutdown after one side/alternate world ‘Strange’ within Scott Derrickson’s script that later changed with the arrival of Sam Remi [sic]. “

Then the artist praised Marvel’s freedom on the project, nothing that is not always the case with Hollywood blockbusters.

The artist continued, “It’s very rare for me to be allowed to follow one’s intuitions regarding a particular character, and I want to say a big thank you to costume designer Graham Churchyard for allowing me to develop and produce this concept.” “Overall it was an absolute pleasure to have it completed, and so glad it has found some appreciation.”

Marvel Studios and Derrickson ended up mutually agreeing to separate routes due to creative differences. Derrickson went to guide black phone Starring Ethan Hawke, one of the most popular horror films of the year.
