existing He’s so close to making his triumphant comeback on Netflix with the first season four release, it’s going to be emotional. After Grace’s shocking death in the Season 3 finale, Season 4 will mark a time jump, and that won’t be the only change. As he deals with his wife’s death, Ben will sadly rock a “sad beard,” and Josh Dallas has opened up about that as well as the character’s mental state early in the season.
As the series has been going on for two years, it’s only natural that a lot of things have changed since the events of the third season finale. Between Cal’s five-year return, Grace’s tragic death, and Angelina Eden’s kidnapping, there are plenty of questions fans have to consider regarding what happened in the meantime. while talking with EW Around existing In Season 4 (which we know a lot about), Josh Dallas makes it clear that Ben will still be reeling from his wife’s death and ponder some big questions:
Losing a loved one is never easy, so it’s understandable that Ben will be somewhat emotionally crushed when we see him again. And that’s not the only thing he’ll have to contend with moving forward. Furthermore, Ben also mourns the loss of his daughter, who was taken in by 828er Angelina after she stabs Grace. Something tells me that the theme of grief is going to play out this season in a big way.
existingThe cancellation came just days after the end of the third season. Although things seemed hopeful on Netflix at first because of the show Cast members such as Matt Long held onto other roles, while some accepted the show’s fate at the time, including Josh Dallas. Just like his character, he mourned the loss of something he was a part of and in turn began to shoot a “sad beard”. After the show saved by Netflix, facial hair remained:
Knowing Ben, he will likely keep his head buried in Callings and the Death Date and track down his child in order to keep himself occupied. It’s unknown how long ‘Sadness Beard’ will last, but fans should still expect to see a somewhat clean-shaven Ben Stone in flashbacks at least. All in all, I’m excited and nervous about what awaits Josh Dallas’ character.
These comments and a recent clip of Michaela following a plea to the docks and the discovery of something unusual seem to indicate that Season 4 is going to be full of emotion and mystery. So don’t miss out on the chance to watch Season 4 on November 4th and become streamable with a Netflix subscription! Make sure to check out other shows coming to Netflix soon, too.
