Brian Snicker talks about Braves’ upcoming visit to the White House

Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker is excited about the opportunity to go to the White House.

Brian Snicker and the rest of the 2021 World Championship Champion Atlanta Braves are scheduled to visit President Joe Biden at the White House on Monday, Sept. 26.

Atlanta will make its final trip to the nation’s capital this season when the Braves begin a three-game road series at the Washington Nationals. The last time the Braves went to the White House was in 1996 when Bill Clinton was in office. This was a Braves Country tournament about 26 years in the making. Snitker has been with the organization since the 1970s.

That’s what he said Greg Blaustein of The Atlanta Journal About the opportunity of a lifetime to speak with the President of the United States of America and visit the White House next week.

“It’s going to be a great experience. We’re the world champions, and we have to go to the White House,” Snicker said. “It’s kind of a special thing to go around and experience that. I think it will be something I will remember for the rest of my life.”

Atlanta will visit the White House just a few hours before they play Washington.

Brian Snicker reflects on the Atlanta Braves visit to the White House

Since President Biden took office, things have been less political, and better when it comes to championship teams visiting the White House. Things were less chaotic and more largely apolitical. These visits are all about celebrating teams, players and coaches for what they accomplished in the previous season. For many, this will be their only chance to go.

While being able to shake hands with a famous Philadelphia Phillies fan at his residence is kind of fun, there’s nothing funny about the NL East race going down the wire between the Braves and the New York Mets. Although Philadelphia will make the post-season as the NL Wild Card team, Atlanta and New York want this first round of encounter.

Atlanta has only NL East opponents remaining on its schedule, while New York has to play the NL Wild Card contender’s Milwaukee Brewers, as well as the struggling Oakland Athletics in the West. Regardless, it’s always great to see the prestigious league champion get the chance to visit a friendly with the leader of the free world. Atlanta got the honor of going to the White House.

We expect the brave ones to be first-rate at their rare meeting with President Biden next Monday.
