PlayStation show in October 2022? Signs of PS4 and PS5 games coming soon | Games | entertainment

Sony Just performed a state of play broadcast, but PS4 And the PS5 Manufacturers could have another big event soon. There are indications that a PlayStation show could happen in October 2022 when games like Final Fantasy 16 and the new, long-rumored Silent Hill games can finally be revealed. Fans have been left hoping for a PlayStation show in October 2022 following recent comments by FF16 producer Yoshi P.

After Square Enix’s eagerly awaited new RPG didn’t get a new trailer at the recent Tokyo Game Show, Naoki Yoshida gave fans an update on when more footage will be revealed.

The FF16 producer spoke onstage at TGS after taking home an award, said a new trailer and revealed a release date should be in October.

Yoshi P said, “I haven’t had a chance to speak to the marketing or PR teams at all, so I’m not sure how much I’m allowed to say, but I think we’ll probably be able to release the next trailer next month or so…and after So, I hope to be able to give a rough idea of when it will be released.”

Of course, the new Final Fantasy 16 trailer could debut at a Square Enix event, but there are reasons to believe a PlayStation demo could come in the next few months.

For the past two years, Sony has held the annual PlayStation Showcase, where major PS4 and PS5 news has slipped.

PS5 review: PlayStation 5 looks obnoxious, and plays beautifully

So far this year, the PlayStation Showcase hasn’t taken place – so it would be surprising for Sony to break away from that tradition, especially considering there were plenty of holes in the PS5 and PS4 release slate after the fall of God of War Ragnarok in November.

We know Forspoken is coming next year in January and that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Final Fantasy 16 are also coming out in 2023.

These are all highly anticipated releases and good reasons to own a PS5 – but given the announcement of Forspoken and FF16 in 2020, it’s likely Sony will have some other big releases (as yet to be revealed) planned for 2023.

Jim Ryan previously said that more than 25 PS5-exclusive games are in development, so there are plenty of games that could appear during this year’s PlayStation show.

Regarding the games that could be announced, rumors have been circulating for some time that the Silent Hill series is about to make a big comeback.

And recent leaks claimed that both Silent Hill 2 Remake and the all-new mainframe Silent Hill game were in the works as PS5 exclusives. The leak even claimed that the next major Silent Hill game will have a PT-style teaser that will be dropping on PS5 in 2022, finding out how much hype surrounds what’s coming to the Silent Hill series and announcing this at a huge event like the PlayStation Show would be a perfect way to reveal these The long-awaited news.

Another Konami franchise, Metal Gear Solid, is also expected to make a big comeback, with an HD remake of the original games believed to be in the works. The Metal Gear Solid series is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, so it seems likely that the long-rumored Transformers will be announced sometime in 2022.

Finally, another game that could appear in PlayStation Showcase in October is Persona 6.

The Persona series is currently in the midst of a long celebration of the franchise’s 25th anniversary.

Lots of ads were dropped during this period such as the release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, as well as Persona 3, 4 and 5 heading to multiple platforms, including Xbox and Xbox Game Pass, for the first time.

It was believed that this year Atlus would be crowned with announcements with the reveal of Persona 6 at their upcoming Persona Super Live party.

However, Atlus said in the run-up to this event in October that there will be no new announcements for the game.

This may be because Persona 6 is still not yet ready for its first reveal. Or it could be because Persona 6 was unveiled at another upcoming event that month like the PlayStation Showcase.

Of course, as with all rumors, it’s best to take things a little more salt until official confirmation. But it wouldn’t be surprising to see Sony hold another big event on PlayStation before the end of the year.
