The BBC and BBC America have released new images from Doctor from The centenary special, titled The Power of the Doctor, which will be the final episode starring Jodie Whitaker as the Thirteenth Doctor. BBC and BBC America both tweeted a teaser image showing Doctor Jodi Whitaker releasing the yellow energy associated with the Time Lord’s regeneration, which makes sense considering the episode will see Whitaker return to Doctor Ncuti Gatwa’s fourteenth. Each Twitter account also tweeted different combinations of footage from the episode, including photos of The Doctor, The Master, Cybermen, and some of the Doctor’s returning allies. “The power of the doctor” is the first time in the modern era Doctor from The era in which the Daleks, Cybermen, and The Master appear in the same episode. Sasha Dhawan returns as The Master. The episode also brings back Janet Fielding as Teejan Jovanka, a former companion to the Fourth and Fifth Doctors, and Sophie Aldred as Ace, companion to the Seventh Doctor, in their first return to the Doctor from TV since they left. Jacob Anderon as Fender from Doctor Who: The flow He also returns, as well as Gemma Redgrave as Kate Stewart.

Janet Fielding said, “In some ways it was a very different experience than when I finished recording in 1983, but in many ways it was very similar. It was great to be a working member of Doctor from My family again! I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I loved being part of the TARDIS team again.”
