The Blue Jays bragged that 12 teams excelled in the NFL in a stunning display against the Phillies

The Toronto Blue Jays are burning this season in pursuit of the New York Yankees for the best spot in the Middle East, and they’ve proven their judgment compared to the NFL teams.

The Toronto Blue Jays are on fire this season. They are chasing the New York Yankees for the number one spot in the Middle East, only 5.5 games behind. They claimed another win of the season against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday night, revealing several NFL teams during their celebration.

Blue Jays won with 11-18 gamesmeaning they outperformed nearly half of the NFL teams in Week 2 of the 2022 season.

The Blue Jays tweeted a list of the NFL teams they’ve outdone, which was a comprehensive list. They beat 12 teams in total, including the Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos.

Nor can they help spark some fun in Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson’s phrase “Let’s Ride.”

While it hasn’t been a great week for the many NFL teams that featured a professional team in an entirely different sport, it’s another feather in their hat for the Blue Jays.

Blue Jays continue their climb to AL East in a major win in the Phillies

In recent decades, Toronto has not experienced the same level of success that many other MLB franchises have enjoyed. They won the World Championships twice in a row in 1992 and 1993, but after that, they missed the playoffs for 20 consecutive seasons.

When they finally made it to the playoffs again in 2015, they lost the AL Championship Series and did the same in 2016. They missed the playoffs for three more seasons after that, and then in 2020, they competed in the AL Wild Card series without winning any of the rounds.

Nor do they usually finish anywhere near the top in the AL East ranking. The last time they placed above third was in 2016 when they finished second, four games behind the Boston Red Sox.

They’re in one of the most competitive divisions in the league, with the Red Sox and the Yankees both having a long history of success, so it certainly isn’t easy to finish near the top. In recent weeks, neither the Red Sox nor the Yankees have finished strong, while Toronto is rapidly progressing. The Yankees are currently 89-58, while the Blue Jays are directly behind them at 84-64.

The Blue Jays have undoubtedly gone through a lot of development leading up to this season, and their hard work is paying off. This season could become another highlight in the history of their franchise.
