The Boston Celtics have officially announced coach Im Odoka’s suspension for the duration of the 2022-23 season due to an affair with a member of the team.
On Wednesday night, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Boston Celtics coach Aime Odoka was facing a suspension for the entire 2022-23 season due to what was initially described as a violation of regulatory guidelines. Subsequent reports indicated that Odoka had a consensual intimate relationship with one of the female employees.
The Celtics released a statement Thursday evening, officially announcing Udoka’s suspension for the entire 2022-23 season due to “violations of team policies.” Additionally, the team said that they will make a decision on Odoka’s future at a later date.
