Dominion Star Bryce Dallas Howard revealed that she was pressured to lose weight before filming

When it comes to major movies and franchises, Bryce Dallas Howard is known for her work in front of and behind the camera. Howard’s first starring role came back in 2004 in M. These days, Howard is also known for directing, having directed some of the best episodes of both The Mandalorian And the boba fett book. In fact, many fans invited her to direct her own Star Wars trilogy. Despite Howard’s long history with Hollywood, she still received some abusive requests. During a recent interview with metro for Jurassic World: DominionHoward revealed that she was asked to lose weight for the sake of the three quills.

metro I asked Howard what she was hoping for Jurassic World: Dominion would mean the representation of women in action films, and Howard replied, “What allowed his presence in this third film, how do I say this, how do I say this, how do I say this… [I’ve] She was asked not to use my normal body in the cinema.” She added, “In the third movie, it was actually because there were a lot of women who were cast, it was something that made Colin [Trevorrow] I felt very strongly about my protection…because the conversation came up again, “We need to ask Bryce to lose weight,” he said, “There are so many different types of women on this planet and there are so many different types of women in our movie” and I have to So many stunts that wouldn’t have been possible if I had been on a diet.”

Howard added, “So I’m really happy [at] All the procedures I had to do, and I had to do it with my body, were at their fullest, and I hope this is just another indication of what’s possible.”

Howard’s star, DeWanda Wise (Kayla Watts) shared her own experience.

“It’s always a thing,” Wise added. “There was a lot of resistance to Kayla having muscle, to what it means to be a woman, to look like a woman. It’s just every aspect, it’s relentless and impossible. There are so many of us! In fact, we’re half the population! Howard added, ‘And in that movie, There were more women than men. These are numbers and scenarios [that are] At this point it’s still uncommon, so normalizing…”

Wise continued, “They made these imperfect heroines. There’s a story there, a feeling that you can be heroic even if you don’t feel heroic. I’m interested in the future of action and movies that really allow women to be all humans as we are.”
