“It’s such an honor and I still, to this day, look at the magazine and say, ‘That’s not me,’ I can’t believe this happened.”
While much of the content featured on her page is fun, she isn’t afraid to venture into uncharted territory when it comes to certain topics – body image specifically.
“Whenever I have this gut feeling that I need to say something, I do it. I never think about it, I never second-guess myself,” Spiranac He said.
“With the body shame issue, I was really sad and worried about it and knew I had to say something and I’m so glad I did.”
Spiranac She revealed in an Instagram story earlier this month that some of her followers have made crude statements about her weight. She invited audience members to discuss their experiences with body issues in response to the event.
“I know I have a predominantly male audience and this is usually not a topic that is discussed much with men, and so I really wanted to use it as an opportunity for them to talk to me freely about something they might be insecure or uncomfortable about,” Spiranac He said.
“The comments were amazing, they were the most commentary I have ever received on a story.
“A lot of men struggle with body image and physical insecurity, something we don’t discuss enough and something I wanted to highlight.”
