“On the Carpet” pre-show powered by DIRECTV at diverse Lifetime’s Power of Women will be broadcast live on Variety.com and miscellaneous The Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages begin at 6:45 PM PT on September 28.
This year’s red carpet honorees will include: Ava DuVernay, Oprah Winfrey, Chelsea, Hillary Clinton, Malala and Elizabeth Olsen. Presenters include Katherine Hahn, Sandra Oh, Quinta Bronson and Diane Guerrero. Halsey will be giving a special musical show to start the night. diverse Leading entertainment writer Angelique Jackson and Senior TV Editor Emily Longeretta will host the mat with commentary provided by Senior Culture and Events Editor Mark Malkin and Senior Correspondent Elizabeth Wagmeister, live from diverse HQ Studio.
The evening brings together an intimate group of charitable women who have been chosen as women miscellaneous Honorable women as well as the most powerful women working in media and entertainment.
