Who are the people in white?

We might get a brief introduction to these people in white in the next episode.

Like previous episodes, Chapter 5 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power introduced us to some new mysterious characters. We saw a trio in white robes carrying a crew with a unique design, checking out the land where the Meteor Man landed. The scene placed great emphasis on the short-haired person, who was giving an intense look while examining where Nuri found the Meteor Man.

Although their true identity will only be revealed in the upcoming episodes, let’s see what we know about them so far.

The white-clothed characters may be from the Far East

It would be fair to start with what we know about the mysterious characters in white. In an interview with timeThe series’ executive producer, Lindsey Webber, spoke about the main character of the white robbery but denied her name. You have shared that the character traveled from the east, from the lands of Ron. If you have read JRR Tolkien’s novel The Lord of the Rings, you will not find much knowledge about the lands of the Far East. Therefore, it makes sense that the characters in white would be a complete mystery.

It should be noted that Sauron fled to the East after the defeat of Morgoth and was not seen in the West for about a thousand years. But the Dark Lord returned in the first millennium of the Second Era. Orcs can also be traced to the east, and since they are following Adar (a rogue dwarf) at the moment, it hints that Adar also comes from the eastern land and shares a connection with Sauron.

The same theory can be explored on the Internet, where fans associate the mysterious characters with the cult of Melchor (another name for Morgoth). It is revealed in later episodes. But for now, the people in white seem to have something to do with the meteor man as they are found inspecting the area where he first landed.

As we saw earlier, Meteor Man has a special relationship with the stars, moon, and other celestial bodies. And in the final episode, he can be seen casting a type of spell to heal himself from the injury he received after defeating the wolves. So, while his mysteries persist, we can only theorize that his powers and origin are of paramount importance to the White Hooded Trio and Sauron.
