Aaron Judge was born in Linden, California in April 1992. He was adopted the day after his birth by Patty and Wayne Judge, who are both teachers. He never met his parents and he has an older brother named John who was also adopted. John teaches English in South Korea. As a child he was a fan of the San Francisco Giants.

Eventually growing to 6 feet 7, 282 pounds, he was a star athlete in three sports at Linden High School, playing baseball, basketball, and soccer. His baseball team made it to the state’s Division III playoffs. He set one season records in the school for touchdowns and yardage receipts.

Aaron wasn’t just an athlete, he graduated with a 3.2 GPA, served on the student council and volunteered across town for various community service.

He was recruited by more than a dozen college football but chose to focus instead on baseball. In 2010, when he was 18 and still in high school, Aaron was drafted by the Oakland Athletics Team in Round 31 of the 2010 Amateur Draft. Aaron chose instead to attend Cal State, Fresno.

During its sophomore year, the team won the Western Athletic Conference title. The following season he led his team in RBIs, doubles and home runs.

Aaron was selected in the first round of the 2013 MLB Draft as the 32nd selection. He soon signed a deal with the Yankees that brought in a $1.8 million signing bonus. Unfortunately, a muscle tear prevented Aaron from playing in the 2013 season.

Aaron played for a variety of minor league teams prior to his professional debut in August 2016. He started as a right-hander in a game against the Tampa Bay Rays. In his first attack in the major tournaments, Aaron made a home run. In an interesting twist, the hitter right before him also hit home in his first MLB at-bat. Aaron played 27 games in his debut season, ending the year with a batting average of 179.

The following season, Aaron was a regular starter, playing 155 games, hitting 52 homeruns, hitting .284, and eventually being named an All-Star. He was the All-Star star in the 2018, 2021 and 2022 seasons as well.
