Although the Green Bay Packers defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it doesn’t overshadow a single glaring issue they have.
One of the big showdowns of Week 3 was between the Green Bay Packers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This was the fifth and possibly the last time Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers had come face-to-face.
The Hazmons were victorious, going on to defeat the pirates 14-12. Tampa Bay looked close to tying the game to a two-point conversion, but Brady’s pass to wide receiver Russell Gage was incomplete.
Even with the win and their record improved to 2-1, the receiving Packers still need help.

Of course, the big story going into the 2022 season was how Green Bay would overcome the losses of Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The team used three draft picks on Christian Watson, Romeo Dobbs and Samori Toure, while also signing veteran Sammy Watkins.
With the new receiving legion in place, there would be some growing pains. But things got worse for Green Bay. Watkins was put into injured reserve this week with a hamstring injury that will send him off for at least four games. Additionally, Packers disqualified Watson due to a hamstring injury.
In the match against the Buccaneers, the Packers relied on receivers Randall Cope, Allen Lazard, Joan Winfrey, Dobbs, and tight ends Robert Tonian and Tyler Davis. Doubs was the most effective of them all, capturing all eight of his goals for 73 yards and touchdowns, the first of his career.
The crime was far from electric. Fortunately for Green Bay, Tampa Bay was without Mike Evans, Chris Goodwin and Julio Jones. Last week, former Buffalo Bills wide signed Cole Beasley.
Even with a win, Green Bay will need these wide receivers to be in full health, and possibly add more names to their depth chart, if they plan to stay on top of the NFC North and compete for the Super Bowl this season.
