New Xbox console design leaked

Over the past two years, Microsoft has released a handful of compelling control options for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Apparently, that number is set to grow by one later this week, as a reputable Microsoft leak @ALumia_Italia posted on Twitter Sharing a photo of the new Mineral Camo design. This officially licensed wireless controller features a sharp blue design and is sure to appeal to many Xbox fans. The images originally came from a listing from retailer Microplay, which also shared a September 27 release date and an MSRP of $79.99.

While the menu from Microplay is no longer active, an image of the Mineral Camo console can be found in the tweet from @Alumia_Italia embedded below.

The design reception looks very strong so far! However, given the huge number of console options available for the console, it is difficult to say how many users would jump in to get this console. Xbox has done a pretty great job offering a wide range of console options, including the current crop of wireless controllers, elite controllers, backward compatible Xbox One consoles, and even custom options available through the Xbox Design Lab. But for those in the market for something new, this is definitely a neat choice!

It might be hard to believe, it’s been nearly two years since the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S first launched. It’s been a bit of a rough start for the Xbox Series X, as the next generation system is still hard to come by due to the lack of global chips. However, the cheaper Xbox Series S was a little easier to get hold of, and provided a solid entry point for newcomers to the Xbox ecosystem. Hopefully the shortage will end and fans will have an easier time getting a new console in time for some of the biggest game releases in 2023.
