Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is CD Projekt Red’s latest IP address project, and it’s going to take matters seriously to say it’s popular. Cyberpunk 2077 sales skyrocketed after the anime’s release, and Studio Trigger is getting all kinds of praise for its adaptation. From new players to old-school anime fans, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has something for everyone, and has turned Hideo Kojima into a staunch fan.
Of course, Kojima was obligated to share his thoughts on the show because the video game designer is known for his love of two things: games and anime. Taking to Twitter, the founder of Kojima Productions shared his reactions to the series with fans, and it’s clear that it didn’t take long for the creator to fall in love.
“I had a quick look at Trigger’s ‘Cyberpunk’ anime, and Franz Ferdinand’s ‘This Fire’ premiered. Good taste” Wrote Before adding a few more tweets for fans. “Just watched ‘Cyberpunk Edgerunners’ in one sitting! Awesome! Awesome! Trigger to the world!”

This is the most shocking thing I’ve seen since Arcane, which I’ve seen last year!!! Or more like an accident! A miracle worked for ‘Netflix’ who planned to cultivate both the unique sense of IP ‘Cyberpunk’ and ‘Trigger’s’ from ‘Cyberpunk’ I am sure you will enjoy it!”
Kojima apparently has a file something For the new Trigger anime, and it’s hard to blame him for the fall. After all, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is as great in terms of the narrative as it is visually. From start to finish, Night City comes to life perfectly in this anime, and critics have showered this adaptation with love only. And now, the show’s fan base appears to be headed by none other than Kojima himself.
