Ryan Reynolds may have already revealed the plot of the sequel with Wolverine Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman is officially on his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is set to reprise his fan-favorite role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3. The movie has been in various stages of development since Disney first bought 20th Century Fox, and it wasn’t until recently that things started cooking behind the scenes. On Tuesday, Ryan Reynolds and Jackman shared a video announcing the release date of the three, and the return of the latter. But if you look at Reynolds’ Twitter feed, that might not be the only thing he revealed. In fact, a one-year-old tweet may indicate the possible plot of the highly anticipated photo.

Back in the early days of 2021, Reynolds shared that the initial plans for the feature prior to the Disney/Fox merger were to put Deadpool and Wolverine on a road trip in a tune similar to that of Akira Kurosawa. Rashomon.

Reynolds tweeted at the time: “It’s important to have open, honest, and healthy discussions about mental health. By retweeting #BellLetsTalk you can make a difference.” “In case that wasn’t enough, before Disney bought Fox, Deadpool 3 was a road trip between Deadpool and Logan. Rashomon style. Real.”

Now that Reynolds and Jackman appear in the same movie — which is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though — it makes sense that a similar plot is involved. In fact, the movie was rewritten from Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the duo behind the franchise’s first flicks.

“Don’t worry about it, they have been very supportive about that,” Reese previously said den geek From the R-rated movie content. “Now when it came to a particular joke, if we crossed a line, we might at some point hear, ‘Maybe not that joke.’ But I think they were incredibly supportive of what we’re doing, because obviously we’ve been doing that. Aside from them for a long time, and I think they saw success and had more success. So I hope it’s a marriage made in heaven. But we definitely have their support, and that’s a great thing to feel.”

Deadpool 3 iIt is scheduled to be released on September 6, 2024.
