It has a strong buzz in its opening weekend, and is only reinforced by the opinion of genre legend Stephen King.

Take to his character Twitter King’s account is calling smiling “A good scary horror movie” but it holds the highest acclaim for its star, Suzy Bacon. smiling It is the feature debut of writer/director Parker Finn, who has adapted the film from his 2020 short film Laura didn’t sleep. Susie Bacon plays Rose Cotter, a doctor who at the beginning of the film witnesses the suicide of one of her patients after she complains that a smiling entity haunts her through the faces of the people who own her. In addition to Bacon, the film’s impressive cast also includes Kyle Galner, Caitlin Stacy, Cal Penn, Robbie Wiggert, Jodi Reyes, and Jesse T. Asher.
