Rick and Morty’s Season 6 focused on Night People, a controversial comeback featuring Space Beth, a new antagonist seeking to destroy our Rick, as well as general hoaxes across the board. Now, a new preview highlights another team up between Rick Sanchez and Jerry Smith, where Beth’s father has never approved of the relationship between his daughter and her husband. As the season continues, the Adult Swim show appears to be seizing the opportunity once again to shine a light when it comes to major animation franchises.
Rick and Jerry have never seen eye to eye, with the latter often seeing Sanchez as a major cause of chaos in his family life. With the season premiere revealing that the Jerry we knew was a different type acquired during the “Jerry Day Care” adventure, the Smith family had some wild ingredients throughout the Adult Swim series. While Jerry might be viewed with disdain by nearly everyone he meets, the previous installment of the series saw him carry out a major save for his family as he was linked to the “night person” and thus saved his fellow animated characters from a terrible fate.
Adult Swim has shared the latest preview of the upcoming episode which not only features a team-up between Rick and Jerry, but also sees the former wear a stunning new business suit while Jerry hilariously poses in some “business casual” attire in a sequence that seems ripped straight out of the box. sailor moon:
While we’re still in the midst of Season 6 of Rick and MortyAdult Swim co-creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland have written that they would love the animated series to go on forever, with work currently continuing into not only Season 7, but Season 8 as well. Animators have been in this for the long haul and based on their success, we could see several seasons released in the future on Cartoon Network.
Back to the anime reference, Rick and Morty She’s had her fair share of nods to the middle, as the wild offspring of Morty and Summer have been called “Naruto Smith.”
