Star makers Lauren Graham and Josh Duhamel about creating new chemistry for Season 2

cast The Great Ducks: Game Changers It looks a little different in Season 2, with Josh Duhamel joining the Disney+ series as one of its top stars. Emilio Estevez did not return for season two, and Duhamel was brought in as a new male replacement, playing the role of former NHL star and high-octane hockey coach Coach Cole. The change put two of the show’s stars in some unique situations. Duhamel had to join an already existing series and cast her as the main character, while Lauren Graham needed to get into rhythm with a new co-star. Both actors were up to the challenge.

previous to The Great Ducks: Game Changers The second season premiere, now showing on Disney+, ComicBook.com spoke to both Graham and Duhamel about the modifications needed to make the remake a success. For Graham, getting along with Duhamel was an easy task, and his new personality created opportunities to explore new sides of Alex.

“It was really fun,” Graham said. “And that last year wasn’t fun, but one of the unique things about this show is that it’s kind of like a movie, where you have a different introduction every year.” “And they were always thinking of Bad news bears Model. They’re in training, they’re in Japan, they’re just starting over even though you have the same team. It was really easy from the start, it was really fun. I kind of knew Josh, we have some people in common, and I had a feeling we’d have a great time and we did. And it always brings new energy to the show as you discover a new dynamic and have a new struggle to play with. And I think being really serious with the sport was a very fun thing to make fun of my character.”

For Duhamel, it was all about discovering how to bring his energy and character into an already established system and culture.

“It’s always a little scary to get into any new situation, especially one that has already been created,” Duhamel explained. “Lauren is someone I admired for a long time, so you know you have to be ready to make your first game and that’s what I really tried to do. Right from the start, just trust what I wanted to do, trust it would be different enough from what they did before and just try To adapt as best I can to do some waves, because that’s what this guy does.”
