Why She-Hulk should appear in Marvel’s Fantastic Four Reboot

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is heading to some amazing places in the next few years, as new movies and TV shows from Disney+ continue to bring beloved characters to life. It’s very easy to be one of the most anticipated candidates on that upcoming list The Fantastic FourMarvel’s First Family has been acquired by Marvel Studios after several disappointing incarnations from other studios. While much is still unknown about him The Fantastic Four – Especially the four main cast members, who are still endlessly debating on social media – the movie is gradually on its way to becoming a reality, with WandaVisionMatt Shukman lined up to direct, and Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer lined up on deck to write. The closer we get to The Fantastic Four Regardless of which MCU connections end up being, one theory has already emerged among some Marvel fans – that Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany) must somehow get into the movie.

While She-Hulk was clearly not an original member of the Fantastic Four, she has been associated with the team for decades, starting in 1984. The Fantastic Four No. 265. Jin first joined the team after the events of the first secret warsWhich leads to Ben Grimm/The Thing taking temporary leave and deciding to stay in Battleworld. Jen then served as a backup member of the team for the full 35 issues, battling the likes of Terminus, Doctor Doom, and Mephisto. Jen’s tenure with the Fantastic Four profoundly affected her along the way – it led to the discovery that she was (temporarily) stuck in the form of the Hulk due to accidental radiation exposure, and given her some lifelong allies in the form of her teammates. In the decades since, she’s featured on the Fantastic Four here and there when the narrative fits her, but she’s remained a part of the team’s family, with Reed and Sue’s children even considering her an aunt.

It is undeniable that Marvel’s The Fantastic Four The movie has a lot of potential ground to cover, and (unless they want to radically reinvent the roster from the start) She-Hulk probably wouldn’t be a full member of the team if she appeared in the first movie. But it seems like a totally missed opportunity to not include Jin in it The Fantastic Four In a kind of supporting capacity, or even just a brief presentation. There are plenty of reasons Jane crosses the line with the Fantastic Four on the big screen, given her life as a new superhero and as a superhero lawyer. In terms of first label, it’s easy to imagine Jane reaching out to her superhero and accidentally bumping elbows with either Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (who was a close friend of hers, even recruiting her to join the Lady Liberators in 2000) or The Thing (with whom she collaborated on wrong way for the first time during a A two-in-one marvel in the seventies) all the way. Heck, fans were already speculating that The Thing would appear in Strong woman As a kind of veil of the eleventh hour, but it’s safe to assume that won’t be the case.

Regarding the latter naming, you’d be glad to see Jane representing whichever side of the Fantastic Four is in a legal battle — just imagine the amount of routine surrounding a doomed space flight that bestows the group their powers or…well, any of Reid’s various science experiments. Matt Murdock / Daredevil (Charlie Cox) Internet cameo in Spider-Man: There is no room for home It already set a precedent for what this kind of legal inscription could look like.

On a larger scale, including She-Hulk in The Fantastic Four It will ultimately help anchor the new movie into the fabric of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Depending on the exact circumstances of how the Fantastic Four was created in the MCU, the movie will undoubtedly end up asking and answering questions about why the group has been absent over the past 15 years of the franchise, and what franchise veterans may (intentionally or unintentionally) already have in their orbit. . While there are countless characters who either fought the group or befriended the group, She-Hulk would be a subtle, but relatively low-key affair to establish across the first movie, providing plenty of other encounters for Avengers: Secret Wars and other futuristic films. Having the Fantastic Four Cross Paths with She-Hulk would also subtly play the novelty of First Family now in the MCU, where the kind of cross-play live-action wasn’t unheard of a decade or two ago when Marvel movie rights were more prevalent.

Plus, the Fantastic Four will benefit from how Maslany’s portrayal of Jen has already become popular with Marvel fans, many of whom have been eager to see exactly what’s in store for her. Certainly, there is the possibility of a second season of Strong womanas well as countless world war hulk Rumors, Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo hint that Jen will definitely be part of the Avengers roster in secret wars And the Avengers: Kang Dynasty. But in the meantime, why not let Jen have another weird and wonderful adventure with some of her longest-lived comedic allies.
