Google Stadia Reportedly Unfollowed Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding

Google Stadia has reportedly refused some sort of follow-up death strand From Hideo Kojima. There are a lot of stories going around about Google Stadia right now because it has more or less exploded on itself. Google confirmed earlier this week that Stadia will indeed shut down in January 2023, much to the chagrin of fans. Google Stadia was a very ambitious idea from the tech giant because it wanted to rival the console experience with no physical box, instead opting for cloud streaming to computers, TVs and other devices. When it started, it also had high aspirations for some exclusive games, but first-party development was canceled after the service failed to take off.

according to Report from 9to5Googleone of the games that Google Stadia would have had because some sort of exclusive was a follow up death strand From Hideo Kojima. It’s unclear if it was a direct sequel, a prequel or spin-off, but Google Stadia canceled the project because it was single-player and didn’t feature some of the first game’s asynchronous multiplayer features. In the original game for PS4, PS5, and PC, players can build things like roads, signs, and other tools to help players in a different world. Although Google gave Kojima Productions the green light and the project was in the early stages of development, the tech giant canceled the project in mid-2020 because it didn’t think players were interested in single-player experiences yet.

It was previously reported that Hideo Kojima was working on an episodic horror game using Google Stadia as well. It is unclear if this was misreported and this was in fact a file death strand game or if Kojima works with Google on multiple projects. Either way, it wouldn’t be surprising if Hideo Kojima revived some of his ideas for his proven cloud-based game on Xbox. Very few details are available about the game, but we hope it won’t be long before we hear more about it. Kojima is also believed to be doing right death strand sequelbut nothing has been confirmed.
