Max Dupree quits WWE from the MMM Championship and returns to the Los Angeles Knight signals

After weeks of stirring up the change, WWE SmackDown tonight delivered the biggest step toward transformation yet for Max Dupree. Maximum Male Models were behind the scenes trying to break the record for the longest standing position ever, and Maxxine Dupri was cheering them on despite some punches from his fellow WWE Superstars. Max was there early in the night but then left and when he came back he really broke the pose as they got close to the record. MMM was confused when Max yelled at them for being clowns and worried about stupid things like pretending instead of titles. That’s when he said that didn’t work for him anymore and threw his MMM belt on the set, giving L.A. Knight Yeahhh style as he walked away.

The other great quote from the note came at the end. “That just doesn’t work for me anymore,” Max said. “You can 86 because honestly, I’m not sure this was right for me.” Then he threw his MMM belt on the set and said “yes” as he left MMM angry and confused. It looks like Max Dupree is no longer around, and the Los Angeles Knight is just around the corner.

The final part of that was definitely about WWE moving him from NXT to SmackDown and changing him from the character LA Knight (already a fan favorite) to Max Dupri and the leader of the Maximum Male Models faction. Despite the dubious change, Max gave everything and made the most of it, introducing famous phrases and some unforgettable moments.

Then reports surfaced of there being some disagreements about creativity and his character behind the scenes, and then it looked like he had been completely pushed out of the faction when Maxine showed up. Once Triple H took over, it seemed to change course again, and now it looks like Max will soon be returning to LA Knight fans in NXT.
