The Lemonheads in London: A slice of ’90s nostalgia | music | entertainment

Dando walked on stage without his band to start the show with a raw, stripped-back vocal set. It was a very confident statement, his voice strong and emotional, befitting his rugged image. The heart palpitations of the ’90s that did not lose their charm and relaxed calmly, there were plenty of shouts from the crowd “I love you, Evan.”

Riding off their vocal debut, the band joined forces with Dando and released a spin-off of their 1992 classic album, upping the ante.

Confetti’s favorite and Alison’s Start To Happen turned the round house into a sentimental single. The Lemonheads have not played this album in the UK since 2005, and have proven themselves to be masters of the three-minute song, knocking on the album in less than half an hour, the melodic simplicity of every song shines through.

The third part of the group saw the band release their most famous hit, despite the absence of their cover of Mrs. Robinson, unsurprisingly with Dando’s previous negative comments on the song in a 2012 interview: “I thought that was one of my specialties, doing covers – but I thought that It was the worst we’ve ever done. It was the exception that proved the rule.”

Legendary punk icon of the ’90s Courtney Love joined the band on stage to perform the classic In Your Arms and was met with a wave of hysteria and surprise.

Before launching into the song, she delivered a long speech to Evan, saying he “doesn’t have a bad bone in his body,” totally inspired by a night of irresistible ’90s glamour.
