The final episode alone saw two fan favorites lose their lives after appearing on screen for only a short time. This week, there is a possibility that the same species will occur again.

With Laena gone, Daemon sees a clear path to the Iron Throne by marrying his niece, Rhaenyra, as has been his goal for some time in the series. Lenore is the last thing standing in his way.
All of these events eventually lead to the Dance of Dragons – the war between Rhinera and Aegon II. In order for that war to happen, Viserys must die. He’s been going through tough things throughout the series up until this point, but he actually seems to be in a little better health after the time jump. He’s definitely older and dealing with more problems, but the disease that was killing him a decade ago doesn’t seem to have the same effect as it did before.
The characters on the show and fans watching at home have been waiting for Viserys’ death for weeks. At this point, it looks like he might be making it to the end of the season, but it wouldn’t be a complete shock to see him go on this week’s episode, given how fast the series has moved.
