One of gaming’s most prestigious events returns on November 22nd, with the Golden Joystick Awards presented by our sister publication GamesRadar+.
As an award show fueled by public voting, Golden Joysticks attracts millions of votes each year to honor some of the world’s best games, developers, publishers, and characters over the past 12 months.
Game fans will be invited to vote in the prestigious 18 categories including Best Storytelling, Best Studio, Most Wanted and Game of the Year, with three additional Critics’ Choice awards awarded that night. Public vote will open here (Opens in a new tab) This Friday October 7th.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Golden Joystick Awards will include two new voting categories, “Best Early Access Launch” and “Best Game Promotion”.
The Best Early Access Launch award reflects the growing number of games that are inviting the public to release pre-play tests as part of an evolving launch process. While “Best Game Trailer” celebrates the most impactful and original trailers that play an ever more important role in the expanding landscape of digital game shows.
The winners will be revealed on November 22, in an all-digital prize show that is broadcast across all major streaming platforms. In addition to the prizes, the show will also include new trailers and exclusive content from around the gaming world.
