Niecy Nash-Betts is the newest, oldest agent in ‘The Rookie: Feds’!

The spin-off, “The Rookie: Feds,” has a new FBI agent in town, and according to Niecy Nash-Betts, she’s the academy’s “oldest and newest rookie.”

Nash Bates reprises her role as Simon Clarke and serves as executive producer for the new series, which branched off from “Rookie.” It is captured from its current fourth season, as Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and the Los Angeles Division of the FBI enlist Clark’s help when one of her former students is a suspect in a terrorist attack.

Felix Solis plays Special Agent Matthew Garza.

“In the two-episode sub-episode that we saw on ‘The Rookie’ in season 4, we see that he meets this woman, and asks to bring her to the FBI. When she lands, she’s a bit sinister,” Solis said.

Frankie R. Faison plays Christopher “Cutty” Clark, Simon’s father, who has said he likes the dynamics between the two because they instantly conflict. Simon isn’t your clinical or as per the book type of FBI agent, but she gets the job done.

“There are two ways of doing things, there is the FBI way, and there is the Simon and Clark way, and they are not the same thing,” Nash Bates explained. “Simon is in a lot of trouble, but she’s digging herself out of the holes she made because she got the job done.”

The series also stars Brett Robertson, Kevin Zegers, and James Lesser.

“The Rookie: Feds” airs Tuesday nights at 10p | 9c on ABC and airs the next day on Hulu.
