The Big Bang Theory did not add sex scenes to Koko and Galecki after the split

Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki will be linked forever with their respective roles as Penny and Leonard on the long-running CBS sitcom “The Bing Bang Theory.” The actors, similar to the characters they played on the show, fell in love while working together and dated from 2008 to 2010. The Bing Bang writers were already planning on Penny and Leonard’s breakup when Coco and Galecki broke up in real life. During interviews with Jessica Radloff’s new book “The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story” (via Vanity Fair), Cuoco and Galecki both shared their belief that series creator Chuck Lorre added more Penny Leonard kissing and sex scenes after their real life split just to mess with them.

“Suddenly, we started noticing there were extra scenes for our characters and/or sex scenes,” Coco said. I was like, “I think Chuck is fucking us!” We were convinced. convinced! Likes, Yes, they want to date and break up on my show, well, there you are! And he was writing all the little children there.”

While Penny and Leonard called it quits on the show, their relationship continued to stay on a “will or they won’t” level and often undo old vices and hooked up.

“Although it was organic for the characters, I think he’d have sex with us,” Galecki said, laughing at Laurie. “If it was an accident, it was an accident in time.”

When Lowry made the allegations of his stars, he denied them and said he would never screw an actor while producing a TV series.

“No. Not at all. Make a good show where there is no room for sex with anyone,” said Laurie. “There is no Let’s mess with Callie and Johnny. The goal was to deliver a great show and make every minute of every episode count. This was it Just Goal. We don’t have that kind of freedom to risk a TV series where you put your heart and soul into messing with someone’s head. number.”

Lowry added: “I think it’s great that they think we have the mental capacity to mess with them. [Laughs] Penny and Leonard had a hard time maintaining the relationship and one of the reasons they kept watching – to see if they could make it. You root for them to find happiness.”

As soon as Galecki heard Laurie’s refutation, he replied, “I think that was pretty cocky of us at the thought of it. [Laughs] We’ve been reading into things quite a lot. I’m going to sleep a little tonight.”
