Walking Dead Star Talks [Spoiler’s] Destiny after the end of Cliffhanger

Warning: This story contains spoilers for the mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead on Sunday. With the flip of a coin, Lance Hornsby (Josh Hamilton) was deciding the fates of Oceanside, Hilltop, and Alexandria in the April season finale “Acts of God” mid-season finale. After machine gunner Leah (Lynn Collins) fails to kill Hilltop leader Maggie Ray (Lauren Cohan), the ambitious and dual Vice-Governor of the Commonwealth takes the Allied communities by force. In the pursuit of Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) and Aaron (Ross Marquand) – and with Maggie and ex-Soldier Daryl (Norman Reedus) in range of Hornsby – Daryl shoots himself in the face.

the walking DeadThe final mid-season premiere of “Lockdown” featured the Hornsby group hunting Daryl and Maggie, joined by Riversiders Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his pregnant wife Annie (Medina Senghor). “That ends here,” Hornsby said to his team of white-armored soldiers, ordering their targets to fire within sight.

Trapped behind military checkpoints, it’s a race against time for the group to get its members out of the Commonwealth before Hornsby can get a signal and bring his spies back into the community. Within the walls of the Commonwealth, Governor Pamela Melton (Lily Robbins) attempts to quell her rebellion, unaware of her Deputy Governor’s coup attempt.

Daryl’s group moved underground through the sewers, and they decided to lure their enemies to them. Outnumbered, Daryl’s group ambushed the Commonwealth soldiers in an armed confrontation. The episode ended with Daryl putting his knife to the throat of hostage Hornby – who grinned after the ring turned black.

“I don’t think he had a problem with his manners at first,” Hamilton said exclusively. Character Book. “I don’t think Lance thinks of himself as having nefarious goals. I think he’s striving to do the best job possible, I think.”

When asked if Hornsby might find redemption behind bars like Negan, Hamilton said, “I don’t think, in his mind, he has redemption. He’s just trying to do his best and for the Commonwealth and for himself, too. But I don’t think he feels like he has.” An ethical turn to make.”

As for what fate might hold for Hornsby after the last eight episodes, Hamilton joked, “We’re developing a musical theatrical production called ‘Hornsby! “With a big exclamation point. I think it will truly change musical theater as we know it.”
