The entire MLB Playoff is set after the Philadelphia Phillies ended their 11-year drought with a victory over the Houston Astros on Monday night.
The Phillies hadn’t made it to the post-season in 11 years, while the Seattle Mariners waited 21 years between playoff games.
Both belong to a 12-team post-season squad in 2022, and there is no cover fee.
On Monday, Philadelphia defeated the #1 seeded Astros in the MLS punch their ticket. The Milwaukee Brewers helped matters over the weekend, losing to the Miami Marlins on Sunday.
Philadelphia has a strong offensive, but defensive and blackboard flaws. Strength can only take you so far, but for Philly baseball fans, showing up in the playoff is a win in itself. From now on, anything else is the cherry on top of the sundae.
