Interview with Vampire Stars to revive Anne Rice’s bizarre themes

Anne Rice interview with the vampire The first episode officially premiered Sunday night on AMC and AMC+ — the first episode was also dropped early to AMC+ subscribers last week — and brought to life on the small screen the eagerly awaited, critically acclaimed adaptation of Rice’s popular novel of the same name. For many fans of Rice’s work, one of the biggest things they looked forward to was exploring the romantic relationship between vampires, Lestat de Lioncourt and Louis de Pointe du Lac. The bizarre themes and subtexts in Rice’s work have always been something fans have longed to see in the live action, and the first episode of the AMC adaptation was delivered and for series stars Jacob Anderson and Sam Reed, bringing them to life was very important.

Anderson, who plays Lewis, told ComicBook.com, “You can’t talk about it without… for one, I think we have to admit that the books are very offbeat.” “I think that Interview with the vampireLewis doesn’t talk about it. Well, at least in terms of Lestat.”

Reed went a little deeper, explaining how Rice incorporated themes into the various novels Vampire Chronicles The series, which for him means that the TV series will not be the source of material justice if it does not delve into the strangeness of things.

“Until you get to the second half of the book, I think,” said Reed, who plays Lestat. “And then I think by the second half of the book, Lewis kind of started to admit that it was something more, and I think it’s cool. And I was reading Anne Rice last night, and I got kind of a typical chapter, an Anne Rice chapter where I went and recounted it all.” records Again in one chapter from a different personal point of view. Or you’ll just start talking about the books themselves because they obviously exist as something real goes wrong with their world, giving you the ability to go on with, “Well, this character was seeing her that way at the time.”

He continued, “So, she can always re-evaluate and change her mind about how I perceive things. So yeah, the relationship, the way Lewis initially describes it is subtext, or does he admit it or is he just mad at how things are going? But I really feel as We continue, the script is the script. I mean, it’s very clear that they’re in love and they’re in a romantic relationship, and I don’t think we’re going to do Anne Rice’s world or do a Vampire Chronicles If not. I think it would be something else and it would be a waste of time for us as well because the fun things come from the intricacies of the relationship with the dynamics and all the details and nuances that they have.”

Interview with the vampire It stars Sam Reed as Lestat de Lioncourt, Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac, Bailey Bass as Claudia, and Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy. The series also stars Kalin Coleman as Grace, Christian Robinson as Levi, Asaad Zaman as Rasheed, and Maura Grace Athari as Antoinette.

“Developing this series carries great pressure and responsibility,” the series’ executive producer Mark Johnson previously said of the adaptation. “What Anne Rice created and what amazed her fans by doing so compels us to take this transition from book to TV show with a great deal of responsibility. It is imperative that we do not disappoint her fans however we need to make sure that this story sings these characters out for a modern audience.”

He added, “We hope this series will force fans of Anne Rice to rediscover her work. We also hope that those viewers who have never read Anne Rice’s novel will go to the library excited to understand what all the fuss is about.”

Interview with the vampire It airs on Sundays on AMC and AMC+.
