Kellogg launches the first “cooling” pill for the Elf on the shelf

October may be the month of Halloween and all things spooky, but winter and the holidays are just around the corner, and that means we’re also heading into these seasonal food shows as well. For breakfast lovers, that means introducing new cereals, and this year, Kellogg’s has a great offering—literally. Kellogg’s launches a first-of-its-kind cereal with cooling effects to bring a winter chill to breakfast with Kellogg’s new The Elf Cereal on Shelf North Pole Snow Creme Cereal.

According to Kellogg’s, the new cereal features a special slow-release flavoring ingredient that cools the mouth as you eat it—something he describes as feeling like you’ve had a bite of a snowball, a bit crunchy, while also describing the cereal as being reminiscent of vanilla ice cream. The cereal also features frosted star bits and mini marshmallows.

“The Elf on the Shelf and Scout Elves have joined our families and hearts as a beloved holiday tradition, sparking creativity and sparking holiday cheer all season,” said Sadie Garcia, Director of Brand Marketing for The Kellogg Company. “With these new refrigerated cereals, we’ve created yet another way families can bring home the masterpieces of the season, this time with delicious and magical breakfast cereals.”

The new cereal Elf on the Shelf Snow Creme Cereal is just one holiday season offered this year. The flavor joins Kellogg’s The Elf on the Shelf Hot Cocoa cereal, Sugar Cookie, Jumbo Snax, and more. Cereal lovers can find The Elf on the Shelf Snow Creme Cereal exclusively at Walmart starting this month at a suggested retail price of $5.29 for a 12.2-ounce box. Fans can also check out the cereal and snack aisles at retailers across the country for Elf on the Shelf Hot Cocoa Cereal and Sugar Cookie Cereal, both of which suggest $4.99 for an 8.1-ounce box.
