Sony is about to release free Essential PlayStation Plus games in October 2022. Another solid lineup of games, the PS Plus lineup includes Essentials Injustice 2, Hot Wheels Unleashed, and Superhot. Free PS4 and PS5 games have a release date of 4 October and an estimated UK release time is 10 AM GMT. Needless to say, PS Plus subscribers only have a few hours left to claim the current collection of Need for Speed Heat and Granblue Fantasy: Versus and Toem.
For free PlayStation Plus games in October 2022, Arcade Racer Hot Wheels Unleashed is my personal favorite.
The fast-paced racing game features dozens of classic Hot Wheels cars, not to mention a host of unique tracks on daily locations.
There’s even a track editor for anyone looking to create their own courses. The ability to share and sample courses online gives unlimited Hot Wheels replayability.
The official description reads “Collect, build and race in this amazing simulation arcade game based on the Hot Wheels universe.”

On the other hand, Injustice 2 is a cinematic fighting game featuring characters from DC Comics. This includes Superman, Batman, Flash, Joker, and Scarecrow.
Finally, Superhot is an innovative shooting game that features a fun time-based gameplay.
