Deebo Samuel put his jaws on the ground on Monday Night Football with an amazing touchdown hold. The radio call from 49ers announcer Greg Papa was epic.
The San Francisco 49ers hosted the Los Angeles Rams in Santa Clara on Monday in hopes of avenging their 2022 NFC title loss. To do so, they’ll also need a performance from Deebo Samuel.
It did not disappoint.
The dynamic wide receiver made the Rams’ defense look completely foolish when touching 57 yards in the second quarter.
The highlight was amazing, from the height he reached to achieve the initial capture in the first place to the movement he placed on Galen Ramsey on his way to the final zone.
And it only gets better when you add the radio call to the mix.
The radio call that Greg Papa made upon landing Deebo Samuel’s MNF was epic
If it doesn’t prompt you to puff, you won’t have a pulse to begin with. For a 49-year-old, that’s enough to give you goose bumps. Even for neutrals, it’s worth repeating.
Twitter has discovered more ways to add to the scene.
It was a wonderful night for Samuel, who offered a series worthy of his performance.
You better be an absolute beast if you’re going to wear that kind of sparkle on the football field. Samuel checks this box and more.
Besides his 57-yard run, Samuel had five catches for 86 yards during three quarters. He and 49 players managed a 17-9 lead early in the fourth quarter.
Samuel continues to prove that he is one of the most dangerous playmakers in the NFL. The Rams were not prepared to face him and they paid the price for this.
