Star Trek: Discovery It was A stellar end to season 4 With a lot of new developments (And one huge veil), but the season finale ended in such a way that viewers were immediately unsure of where the series would head in Season 5. Summary and new photo of Michael Burnham during Star Trek DayAnd now we have another new nugget of information via Doug Jones. Actor Captain Saroo seems to have confirmed that Season 5 is going in a direction fans want, especially with regards to one storyline.
For anyone who is worried that Saroo’s budding romance with Nevar chief Terina will fizzle out and fizzle out before the start Star Trek: Discovery Season 5, don’t worry anymore. That’s, on the condition that Doug Jones says what it’s like in a recent interview collidercommenting on what happens with Saru at T’Rina in Season 5 with a broad stroke:
Doug Jones hasn’t come out and said outright that Saroo and Trina are still together Star Trek: Discovery Season 5, but it’s hard to read it any other way based on that comment. He clearly admires his character’s courtship. He’s not alone in this feeling, as many loved seeing Saru find love with the leader of Ni’Var, but given the novelty of it all and how slow they were to take things, it seemed possible that they wouldn’t last.
Assuming Saroo and Trina are still a couple Star Trek: Discovery Season 5, it will be interesting to see how things progress. Saroo, of course, has obligations to Starfleet as well as a member of the Supreme Ba’ul and Kelpian Council. Viewers last saw him serving as Captain Michael Burnham’s first officer aboard Discoveryalthough it is unknown whether he left elsewhere in Season 5, returned with the Supreme Council, or even captained his ship again as Starfleet captain.
The point is that Saroo juggles many dishes and, above all, is dating the president of one of the core nations of the federation. His commitments, paired with T’Rina, may make it difficult for them to connect in Season 5 as much as fans want them to. Of course, we can be pleasantly surprised and see that the two of them have progressed a lot more since we last saw them. I hope the latter, though realistic, will keep my expectations low because I know there’s a bigger story to tell Star Trek: Discovery.
As for what this story is, we know Starfleet is searching for an ancient and powerful artifact that has been deliberately hidden for centuries. Unfortunately, there are others outside of Starfleet who are also aware of this great power, and there is a sense that this power can be misused if the wrong people find it.
Season 5 looks like it’s going to be a big epic adventure, but maybe there are some moments that just disappear away from the romance this season? Especially since we don’t know where things stand with Michael and Cook either! They reconciled after that Breakup and Betrayal of Pokerbut who knows where things will end now that he’s off the ship.
Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 is currently filming, and will likely be available to anyone with a profile Paramount + subscription Sometime in 2023. There are still others the new a trip Offers Which will arrive before then, so be sure to check out what’s on the horizon if you’re a fan!
