Hilary Swank joins ABC13 to discuss story behind ‘Alaska Daily’!

Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank stars in the new ABC television series, “The Alaska Daily,” which centers on a disgraced and deeply talented investigative reporter (Eileen Fitzgerald) who leaves her high-profile life in New York City to join a small daily newspaper in Anchorage. , Alaska. On her journey to personal and professional salvation, she embarks on an investigation into the pattern of disappearances and murders of indigenous women across the state.

Swank joined ABC13 to discuss the series, what propelled her into the role, and shared a message about the plight of forgotten indigenous women as the women at the center of the plot in Alaska Daily.

“It was so amazing, so amazing, and so horrific,” Swank told ABC13’s Jonathan Bruce and Brittany Wilmore. “These are important stories, this is something I want to be a part of sharing. That was the first straw.”
