‘Amsterdam’ star joins Kate Winslet in HBO limited series ‘The Palace’

Matthias Schoenaerts will star opposite Kate Winslet in the upcoming HBO limited series “The Palace,” diverse Learn.

The series was picked up on HBO in July. According to the official record, it “tells the story of one year inside the palace walls of a totalitarian regime as it begins to crumble.” Fine craftsmanship details are preserved.

Schoenaerts can currently be seen in David O. Russell’s movie “Amsterdam” as Detective Lem Getweiler. After that, he will appear in the Canal + / Sky series “Django” and the feature “The Way of the Wind” by Terrence Malick. He also recently wrapped up shooting for “The Old Guard 2.” on Netflix. His previous credits include films such as “Rust and Bone”, “The Danish Girl” and “Away from the Massive Crowd”.

Will Tracy is a writer, executive producer, and show director at The Palace. Stephen Frears will direct production and execution, with Winslet executive producing as well as starring. Frank Rich and Tracy Seward are also executive producers, with Seth Reese, Julie Weiner, Jane Spira, Gary Steingart, and Sarah Dilab also writing for the series.

“The Palace” will be HBO’s fourth limited series, with Winslet in the lead role. It was announced in June that Winslet would also star in the HBO limited series “Confidence,” based on the novel of the same name by Hernán Diaz. Prior to that, she starred in the HBO limited series Mare of Easttown, for which she won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Limited Series. She had previously won in the same category in 2011 for the HBO limited series “Mildred Pierce”.
