Destin Daniel Creighton quickly became the busiest man in Hollywood. After the resounding success of 2021 Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten RingsCretton has signed a deal with Marvel Studios to develop both shang chi A sequel as well as a spin-off series for Disney+, is rumored to center around the Ten Rings organization. Moreover, reports have spread that Cretton will also be at the helm of development on miracle man Series, a streaming show centered on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Shortly after these reports came out, Creighton added another massive meal to his already packed plate: Avengers: Kang Dynasty.
Talk to Brandon Davis from ComicBook.com about his upcoming American born Chinese Series at New York Comic Con, Cretton gave his first public response to the news.
“Is that correct?” Davis asked.
“Is it true?” Creighton replied.
“Are you the Avengers: The Kang Dynasty?” Davis asked.
“Is that correct?” Creighton replied. “I think so (laughs).”
Apart from Cretton’s participation in the director’s chair, not much is known about the details regarding Kang . dynasty. Given the movie’s title, fans should expect Jonathan Majors to play an obvious role, playing Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it is unclear which iteration or iterations of Kang will appear as the face in this movie. Majors debuted as a character in loki The first season finale, depicting a cute type of character known as He Who Remains. Majors will return as Kang in February when he acts as a primary antagonist in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. While loki The Big Bad is only referred to as He Who Remains, and the Majors have been confirmed to play Kang in komania.
Away from Marvel Studios’ busy schedule, Cretton is about to roll out the aforementioned American born Chinese, an upcoming streaming series to Disney+ based on the graphic novel of the same name. Cretton revealed that due to the show’s heavy-handed nature, he has brought a number of familiar faces to the project.
“Quite a bit, and we actually brought in a bunch of the team from Shang-Chi to help design the movement and costumes,” Cretton said. “There is a lot of Shang-Chi influence in this naturally with the people we brought in.”
