Splatoon 3 celebrates the scarlet and purple Pokemon with the Splatfest Crossover

Nintendo combines Splatoon and Pokemon with the character of Pokemon Splatoon 3 It was quickly timed perfectly to celebrate the upcoming launch of scarlet pokemon And the Violet. During this event, the new Splatoon game will feature a three-way Splatfest indicating Grass, Fire and Water-type Pokemon that players always choose from when they begin their new Pokemon journeys. The event won’t start until November 11, however, so it’s now unclear if anything else is involved in this or if it will only be limited to Splatfest.

Nintendo announced the cross-promotion event this week in posts on the company’s social accounts that featured several Splatoon Inklings that mimic the Grass, Fire, and Water options with their designs. When the event begins, players will find themselves aligned with one of these three options as the event appears to play like a normal Splatfest afterwards regardless of Pokemon references.

This Splatfest will start on November 11th at 4pm and conclude just two days later on November 13th at 4pm PT. Once it’s all over, Nintendo said it will distribute rewards to Splatfest participants with those who win getting the most. He has not yet said what those rewards will be.

“After you make your selection, you’ll participate in Splatfest Battles, where the goal is to take as much theater as possible without getting stressed too much,” Nintendo said. “At the end of the event, the winning side will be revealed, and the in-game goodies will be distributed (with the winning team getting more, of course).”

Nintendo can of course do these kinds of cross-brand promotions at any time in Splatoon given how many different properties it has, but it makes sense to do so in October given that new Pokemon games are slated to release on November 18th. These games have been getting more attention via one-off trailers and ads lately like the long trailer released this week that revealed new Pokémon and more gameplay mechanics.

Splatoon 3 The Pokemon-themed Splatfest begins on November 11th, so look for more details on the rewards and like we’re getting closer to that date.
