Sonic the Hedgehog: Jim Carrey stars in a funny trailer
Later today, at 3:55 p.m. on ITV2, Jim Carrey is starring in the 2008 comedy Yes Man. The actor loved sharing the screen with his co-star, Zooey Deschanel, but not every actor he’s worked with over the years has felt the same way. In particular, he went on a furious run with his co-star in Batman Forever, Tommy Lee Jones, whom he hated so badly.
In 1995’s Batman Forever, Carrey played The Riddler, the pesky genius enemy of Bruce Wayne who has caused crimes with mysteries and riddles. Opposite him, Jones played two faces, the second half of the crime-creating duo against Val Kilmer’s version of the Caped Crusader.
However, things between the actors turned brutal during filming. Carey looked back at working with Jones during the Norm Macdonald Live podcast in 2018.
Carrie remembered going out to dinner one night and bumping into the actor during filming. He remembered: “Oh, I heard you were working with Tommy Lee Jones,” he remembered. He’s finished in the corner having dinner. “
The comedian decided to go and greet his colleague and colleague, but things went right away.

Jim Carrey reveals that Tommy Lee Jones hated him
Carrie Jones greeted: “Hi Tommy, how are you?” But he got the worst response imaginable.
“Blood drained from his face,” the star recalls. He noted that it seemed as though Jones “was thinking about me 24 hours a day”.
He continued, “He got up trembling.” “He must have been at the height of fantasy or something.”
Jones stood and hugged Carrie tightly, whispering to him, “I hate you. I really don’t love you.”

Carrie, of course, tried to calm the situation. He continued: I said: What is the problem? and pull a chair [to his dinner table], which may not have been smart. Jones replied bitterly: ‘I can’t punish your clown. “
Jones’ aggressive actions were confirmed by Batman Forever’s director, Joel Schumacher, in a separate interview. He said, “You said Tommy Lee Jones was cool on People magazine… he was cool on The Client. But he wasn’t very kind to Jim Carrey when we were making Batman Forever.”
Interestingly, Schumacher had a theory as to why Jones and Carey did not communicate while working together. He thought Jones was annoyed by Carrie’s very outrageous character.
He said, “Tommy, and I say this very respectfully, is a scene thief. Well, you can’t steal the scene from Jim Carrey. It’s impossible. And I think it upset Tommy.”

Schumacher confirmed that Jones “wasn’t kind” to Carey while filming the movie.
he added: “[Jones] He didn’t act towards Jim the way an Academy Award winner does to a star on Hollywood Boulevard – being the oldest member of the cast, having such a distinguished career and the accolades that go with it – he should have acted towards Jim. But what happens in the group stays on the group.”
Since Batman Forever wrapped, Carrie and Jones have never worked together again. Despite the fact that their film was a huge success.
Batman Forever made an amazing amount of money. Although the movie was made with a staggering $100 million budget, it grossed $336 million at the box office.
Schumacher later returned to the series to direct a sequel – Batman & Robin – two years later in 1997.
Since then, Curry has made quite a few enemies in the industry. One notable issue arose after he starred in Kick-Ass 2 as Colonel Stars and Stripes.
After the film was released, he released a statement that read, “I did Kickass a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all conscience I can’t support this level of violence.”
The film’s writer, John Romita Jr., later replied, “I know I’ll never work with that person again, so let me say this. I think Mark [Millar] I’ve talked about this before, but here’s a guy who could have tapped into the character he played and played it into his anti-gun stance. The character he played gave up guns – he gave up guns – and he became a good guy. Anyone with three-quarters of an education can discover how to combine this idea with their anti-gun ideas. He’s not smart enough to do that. He cashed his check and took his money, then went and pulled a bunch of c**p out of our movie.”
Yes Man hits ITV2 at 3:55 p.m.
