Persona fans found themselves quite frustrated this weekend as longtime developer Atlus still chose not to officially reveal it. 6 . character. Over the past year, Atlas has celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Persona franchise. As such, many different announcements were made during that time, some of which included new ports Persona 5 RoyalAnd the Persona 4 GoldenAnd the Persona 3 Portable. And while it seemed possible that this anniversary event would lead to the first reveal of 6 . characterIt turns out that’s not the case after all.
As of this weekend, Atlus is wrapping up the 25th anniversary of Persona with a new live concert from Japan. Atlus had previously warned that this party wouldn’t include any announcements related to new character games, but some fans had hoped the reveal could happen either before or after the show. Sadly, that didn’t come to fruition, leaving quite a few fans wondering why Atlus chose to celebrate the Persona series in style over the past year to begin with.
The main reason so many fans were so upset that Atlus chose not to reveal it 6 . character It stems from the many excitements associated with the 25th Anniversary event. A handful of artifacts associated with this event seem to indicate that 6 . character It can be revealed at the end of the anniversary. Not to mention that if Atlus wanted to properly celebrate the history of the series, it seemed only natural that fans would take a look at what Persona has in store for the future as well. Unfortunately, fan expectations ended up spiraling out of control, which resulted in nothing more than disappointment.

The hints were all there
Atlus: Hey, it’s not our fault that you were expecting character 6 during this event. All we did was make the Persona 2 retro orange and give you this event logo with every color except green, but we left white space and then made this artwork with a green paint bucket on the side pic.twitter.com/70M1ueCEH4

The anniversary event felt like pulling her out
Oh, wow, it’s already over. 😮
There is no Persona 6 or remakes for Persona 1-2. 😭
Welp, although I liked the ports they announced along the way, this anniversary project announcement was a mess. It was a bit elongated and some felt like it was a big deal when they weren’t. pic.twitter.com/gXHtna86IS

Atlus must have one big event
If this was just one event it would be awesome
Just one show with Persona 3, 4, 5 and Arena Ultimax remasters would be amazing but pulling it off over a year was tough and made us think of “bigger” things that would happen like Persona 6 or a remake of something https://t.co/83DLioT1Rr

It’s time to wait…
I’m not going to lie though man, I’m so annoyed that there is no personal announcement, I understand things take time but having a logo with 6 colors on it made my hopes very high pic.twitter.com/4ZyDjfV5nB

Fans just want a taste
The release of Persona 3 and 4 on the same day (January 19) is great, but the fact that they alluded strongly to the announcement of Persona 6 to celebrate their 25th anniversary, they didn’t show anything after that.
The P5 came out over 6 years ago. We know a sequel is in the works, show us something pic.twitter.com/Oi19nthkYP

Even an inspirational slogan can work!
I’ve always been out looking when it comes to Persona Stuff but I really felt that Atlus simply confirmed that they were working on Persona 6 and just showed a logo, fans were much happier than… …these
