Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office motorcycle deputy thrown into ditch in crash with SUV driver on FM 521!

Fort Bend County, Texas (KTRK) – A motorcyclist deputy at the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office was taken to the hospital as a precaution after being injured while working in a different crash Monday morning.

SkyEye was above the crash on FM 521 near Shadow Creek Parkway, where helicopter reporter Tami Rose saw a badly damaged motorcycle.

The MP was responding to a major incident that closed the south lanes of FM 521.

Meanwhile, a long line of cars was heading north, and the deputy was going in the same direction. As he was heading north, a woman in a small SUV turned around and hit him on his motorcycle.

The collision threw the deputy into a ditch.

Despite the incident, the deputy was responsive and walked under his authority, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The woman in the SUV had a broken arm and was also taken to hospital.

The southbound lanes on FM 521 remain closed, but the northbound side is open.

However, you’ll want to avoid the area if you can create backups and reroute traffic near Shadow Creek Parkway.

The deputy, who has not been named publicly, has at least 10 years of service in the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
