‘Glass Onion’ arrives in UK cinemas in the form of Netflix pacts with Vue, Cineworld

Netflix has struck deals with European cinema giant Vue International and Cineworld to put “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” in British cinemas.

The film will be shown in select Vue and Cineworld cinemas across the UK a full month before the film reaches the streaming service. “Glass Onion” will be out from November 23-29, then leave theaters for three weeks before it hits Netflix on December 23. Tickets are now on sale in the UK.

Tim Richards, founder and CEO of Vue International, said: ‚ÄúThis is an exciting moment in our relationship with streaming platforms and the broader ecosystem as a whole. Studios have recognized the value of window theater, and we’re now seeing Netflix embrace the big screen theatrical release as well.

Richards, who is also the president of the British Film Institute, followed.

Discussions are underway for the film to be shown at Vue in Italy and Germany, at The Space and CinemaxX, respectively.

More is coming.
